Faces of Turkey

I’ve been writing news articles and photo essays for Digital Journal.  I’m thrilled to announce that my “Faces of Turkey” photo essay was one of the 8 international photo essays picked as a winner in Digital Journal’s “The World in Pictures” contest.  The editors at Digital Journal really liked this photo of a Turkish woman asking for help after her street-side vegetable market was closed.  It captured her emotions as she faced the loss of her livelihood.  Turkey has a growing economy, and you can see modern buildings next to ancient ones.  People from many backgrounds and economic classes share their presence with you here.  Enjoy more of my Turkish adventures in my new book, Fire and Ice.
